You can export expense data by friend or group on web and mobile.
Web app (www.splitwise.com):

- Go to the relevant friendship/group page.
- Click the settings icon.
- Click "Export as spreadsheet."
Mobile app:
- Go to the relevant friendship/group page
- Scroll to the right in the horizontal header menu.
- Tap the option to "Export" at the end of the menu.
In the export, the numbers under people's names show the impact to that person's balance from the transaction in that row. When they spend money or make a payment, the number is positive; when they borrow money, the number is negative. There is also a "Cost" column in the export that shows the total amount of that transaction.
