Your Dashboard on the web app shows a summary of the balances you owe and are owed. At the top, you'll see an overall total of how much you owe across all friends and groups, and how much you're owed in total.
Below that, you'll see a per-friend balance. For each friend, Splitwise shows the largest single-currency balance. Balances with an asterisk (*) next to them indicate there are additional balances in other currencies not shown on the Dashboard.
To see a full breakdown of your balance with a particular friend, click on their name. The friendship page shows how your total balance is made up — for example, what you owe across each shared group and any non-group expenses (expenses added directly between you and a friend, outside of any group).
Note: If a shared group has Simplify Debts enabled, your balance with a specific person in that group may differ from what you'd expect based on individual expenses, as debts are reshuffled across group members to minimize the total number of payments needed.
Friends you're fully settled up with are automatically hidden from your dashboard after 30 days of no activity.
