Deleting a group
Please note that deleting a group removes it for all group members, not just you.
On the mobile app:
On the mobile app:
- Tap the Groups tab.
- Tap into your group.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Scroll down and tap "Delete group."
On the web app (www.splitwise.com):
- Navigate to the group in the left-hand sidebar.
- Click the gear icon at the top of the page and select "Edit group settings."
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete group."
Undeleting a group
Undeleting a group restores the group and all of the expenses and payments that were in the group when it was deleted.
On the mobile app:
- Tap the Activity tab.
- Tap the record that shows the group was deleted.
- Tap "OK" on the pop-up to restore the group.
On the web app (www.splitwise.com):
- Click "Recent activity" in the left-hand sidebar.
- Click the "Undelete group" button next to the relevant record.
You can also undelete a group by visiting your account settings page, scrolling down, clicking "Undelete group", and selecting the group you'd like to restore.
