Venmo payments sent through Splitwise are delivered to the primary email address on your Splitwise account. If that email address is not connected to your Venmo account, the payment will remain pending.
If you use a different email address for Venmo, you can claim the funds by adding your Splitwise email as a secondary email address in your Venmo profile. Once added and verified, the funds should appear in your Venmo account automatically and future payments should arrive without any issues. You can find Venmo's instructions for adding and verifying a secondary email near the bottom of this article.
If you use the same email address for both Splitwise and Venmo, it's possible the email address has not yet been verified with Venmo. You can verify it by visiting your Venmo profile settings. Once verified, any pending payments sent to that email will become available in your account.
If you continue to have issues, please reach out to Venmo's support team directly, as Splitwise does not handle any Venmo payment processing. Payments sent through our Venmo integration take place entirely in Venmo. When contacting Venmo, provide the Venmo payment ID for the relevant payment. You can find this by tapping the payment record in the Splitwise app.
