Splitwise Pay is only compatible with individual checking accounts in your own name. Business, trust, and other non-personal account types are not supported.
Joint accounts in your name and someone else's name are accepted, but please note that they may require additional verification. If additional verification is needed, you will see an in-app request for a bank statement to verify your ownership of the account.
Savings accounts are not recommended as they are not designed for this sort of use, and you may run into errors, payment failures, or fees that are outside of Splitwise's control.
